I am 36 weeks and just found out that my baby is breech today. For those of you who also have a breech baby, what week did your doctor schedule you a C section for? I’m not sure how it even works. I’m currently sitting in the waiting room to see my doctor after learning the baby is breech from my ultrasound. Currently freaking tf out and trying to hold it together. I know a lot of people have C Sections, it just sucks initially discovering you won’t have the delivery you imagined.

35 weeks here and going to see a Midwife/Chiropractor who specializes in flipping babies apparently. Can let you know how it goes. My midwife said I’ve got a week or two to get him to flip before we talk about c-section!

@Justine524,
I did not even know that was a thing. I am going to look into this.

My baby was breech from 20 weeks until 34 weeks. I saw a chiropractor who is Webster certified every weekday from 30-34 weeks. I did Moxibustion every night and lots and lots of inversions/moves from Spinning Babies. He finally flipped at 34+4! I was 3 days away from starting acupuncture, which my OB recommended but said to wait until 35 weeks to start that.

Ask your doctor about performing an ECV to flip your baby. I just had one and it wasn’t bad at all.

@Raq23-25,
did you get an epidural?

@raspberrystrawberry,
no epidural. It honestly didn’t really hurt. It was just really uncomfortable. I was expecting it to hurt bad bc I heard ppl get an epidural for it and immediately think it must hurt REAL BAD if you need an epidural! But no the epidural helps relax your body for it. Ultimately it didn’t work, but we are going to try it again before my C-section with the epidural as a last ditch effort.

My baby was breech at 36 weeks, I did the spinning babies exercise & she flipped by 37 weeks.
Also, look into doing an ECV. That’s where the Dr tries to turn the baby. It’s only a 50/50 success rate but the risks to you and baby are very low.

@raspberrystrawberry,
I hope so too!!
You could also see if your Dr has any experience with breech vaginal delivery.
My last baby I delivered breech vaginally and I would definitely do it again over a c-section if the option was there.

My baby has been breech for a while and we started talking about my scheduled C section at 36 (scheduling for 39+ weeks). I have been doing all the spinning babies exercises since about 28 weeks with no luck. My doctor also said I would be a good candidate for ECV which I had today, but it unfortunately was not successful. I’m guessing there’s a reason why she’s so comfortable in this position and does not want to move!

Im 36 weeks with a breech baby and my OB is allowing more time to see if she will flip. If not, we will schedule a c section. I have also been doing exercises and such but it is not working!

My first pregnancy I found out at my 36 week checkup I was having my baby the following week. I burst into tears because I didn’t feel ready. She was not only breech but they felt I had l had low fluid so they didn’t attempt to flip her. It all worked out but it was a whirlwind!!!

after trying everything and being in so much pain but not labor from transverse I scheduled 2 days before I was 40 weeks. I believe if no other reasons 39 weeks is when they do csections

I just found out my baby is breech last week at 36 weeks. They did an ECV which failed. I’ve been doing all the exercises the past few days. Even went for moxibustion cause I’ve heard it can be effective at flipping a breech. Just had US today, babe is still breech so scheduling another EVC for tomorrow. UGH! Flip baby flip!

37 weeks now and my baby has been “frank breech” since 34 weeks. My c section has been scheduled at 39 weeks as i was told if there are no other issues, they won’t schedule them any earlier due to legality reasons. I am trying to do all kinds of things to get baby to flip but am at peace knowing that it’s a SCHEDULED c section and heard it’s so much more smooth than an unplanned c section.
